Default Any great news?

This looks like a great forum to pass information along. I would like some help finding anything that can help restore lost hair.

I have tried Procerine which is mostly herbal based with saw-pallmetto both orally and toipically with no results. Currently I am using finasteride as a supplement and the Nioxin system topically. So far nothing has made a difference.

There are so many products to try that I will be nearly 100 before I can try them all. Can anyone give some good recommendations as to where to go for help with hair loss?

I can't provide any input on products, although I have read about laser treatments that have been helpful for some...example here: Low Level Laser Therapy receives FDA Clearance for the treatment of hair loss IMO, it's one of those, can't hurt/might help options that could be worth exploring, although it's not likely to be cheap, and ongoing treatments would almost certainly be required.

I recently sent Will a "teaser" about research being done on the effects of caffeine...apparently, direct application of caffeine to hair follicles from men with AGA (androgenetic alopecia...the $3.00 term for MPB) grown in culture stimulates the production of hair (see: Entrez PubMed ). I suggested at the time that this could lead to a topical caffeine formulation for MPB. Evidently, great minds think alike, as this just came out: Entrez PubMed

So, there may be some new products coming out in the immediate future.

Thanks Elissa, I am aware of the laser treatments but at the moment I can't get past the "sticker shock". The cafeine report looks interesting though.

So in simple terms if the caffeine can open the way through the folicles, the next hurdle is to find the right nutrient, supplement, or chemical to add with it to reach the scalp and rejuvinate hair growth right?

I enjoy coffee in the morning but will have to brew an extra pot of strong brew to pour over my head (laughing).

I'm not sure if there's anything new as such LBM but I'm pretty sure Will Brink has some stuff on his website at hair less, BrinkZone.com - The Final Frontier in Bodybuilding, Health & Fitness , it might be old news now however but worth a look.
